This Privacy Policy explains how FlowVocab ("we", "the app") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our language-learning application. By using FlowVocab, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

• Email address, username, and an encrypted password used to create and secure your account.
• Optional profile details such as nickname and avatar.
• If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google account identifier and email.

Learning data

• Your language preferences (native language and the languages you are learning).
• Vocabulary cards, study records, and dictation results you create.
• Speaking-practice conversations and their transcripts.

Voice recordings

• When you use speaking practice or pronunciation feedback, your voice is recorded and sent to our servers and trusted AI processing providers to convert speech to text and to generate feedback.
• Voice recordings and conversation records are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted.

Device & technical data

• Device model, operating system, app version, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP, used for security, session management, and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate core features: vocabulary management, speaking practice, dictation, and pronunciation feedback.
• To process your voice into text and generate AI-based learning feedback and scores.
• To maintain your account, manage logged-in devices, and keep your data synced.
• To process purchases, virtual currency (NNC), and membership where applicable.
• To protect against fraud, abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. AI & Third-Party Processing

To deliver speech recognition, conversation, translation, and pronunciation analysis, we send the necessary content (such as your voice recording or text) to trusted third-party AI service providers. These providers process the data only to perform the requested service and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. Payments are processed by Google Play and the Apple App Store under their own privacy policies.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Media files (such as audio) are stored on secure cloud object storage.
• Passwords are stored in encrypted form; sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest.
• We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

• Speaking conversations and voice recordings are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
• Vocabulary and study data are kept while your account is active.
• You may delete individual items in the app, request a full data export, or delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal data, subject to limited records we must keep for legal or financial reasons.

6. Children's Privacy

FlowVocab is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

7. Your Rights

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
• Export your learning data.
• Withdraw consent and delete your account.

You can exercise these rights within the app or by contacting us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above.
